A different take on the new Apple TV.
Marv gets his new Apple TV and has a different take on it's features and capabilities.
Last week and again this week Tim indicated that the new Apple TV remote would operate the volume on his stereo receiver and nothing else. The remote uses a feature in newer HDMI connections that allows the remote to operate devices hooked up to it with little configuration. After this week's podcast Tim decided to check to see if there were any settings he could change on his Denon receiver to allow the remote to switch inputs and turn the receiver on and off. Much to his surprise there was a setting on the Denon receiver that needed to be switched on to allow this control. Thanks to Apple for making us aware of this little known HDMI feature.
